Jak Spencer
Jak is a Research Fellow and leader of the Social and Global Research Space at the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design. He has a PhD from Loughborough University which developed new models of design for sustainable behaviour. More recently he has led people-centred research and design projects for major global brands including Google, Facebook, Ikea and Unilever.
Design to Benefit Society
In this talk Jak outlines how the methods of people-centred design can be implemented to improve life and benefit society. The presentation will discuss how being inclusive can open new innovation opportunities, highlighted by examples from projects undertaken by the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design from designing out medical error to redesigning the future of urban mobility.
