Costanza Matteucci + Monika Olszak

The designer is a person made of ears and hands.

Costanza Matteucci and Monika Olszak have multiple design experiences: graphic design, objects, space, service design. If they work mainly for the public sector and culture, it is the relationship with users which is at the heart of their approach. For each project, they engage in a relationship that takes place over time and gain in-depth knowledge of the issues and locations of the project, plus use all techniques - orthodox or not - to construct their responses.

Designer, juggler of practices

The conference unfolds the roadmap of the genesis and construction of a design project in the Dorlay valley, a French rural area previously rich in textile industries. Through the themes of mobility and architecture, via explorations of the territory, workshops and one-off creations, residents co-construct actions with the designers that make it possible to respond to immediate problems while preparing the bases for a long-term project for the valley, between daily life and cultural development.
